Surfing On Static was created by the minds of Dean Denell and Daniel Olson. While working on collaborative projects at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, the two realized that they shared similar aesthetics and worked very well together. Shorts such as "Battery Acid" underscore how Dean's ability to illustrate and Dan's technical aptitude combine to develop a powerfully distinct style. They later teamed up with Carl Kondrat, whose musical talents complemented their visual style. Surfing on Static is a place to exhibit their ever-expanding collection.
